Start from guided templates

Skip the blank page. Pick a template built for your kind of work, answer a few prompts, and the portal arrives pre-structured with pages, tasks, and placeholders.

A guided template is a starting shape, not a cage. Everything it creates is ordinary portal content you can rename, reorder, or delete once the client's reality sets in.

01

Pick a template

From Portals → New portal, choose Start from template. Templates are grouped by delivery model, not industry, so pick the one that matches how you actually bill.

The guided setup

The template asks four questions and uses the answers to name pages, set due dates, and pre-fill the first invoice. Every answer stays editable afterwards.

What you get

The generated portal is complete enough to share the same day: pages in a sensible order, tasks assigned to your team, and file folders ready for uploads.

Adjust it to the real job

No template survives the kickoff call intact. Strip what you don't need before the client ever sees the portal — an accurate portal beats a complete one.

  • Delete pages that don't apply instead of leaving them empty
  • Rename milestones to the client's language, not the template's
  • Reassign tasks so the board reflects your actual team
  • Fix currency and tax on the draft invoices
Watch the placeholder copyTemplates ship with example text on the Overview page. Replace it before publishing — it's the first thing your client reads.

Save your own template

Once you've shaped a portal the way your studio works, save it as a custom template. The next client starts from your process instead of ours.
