Invoices are attached to a client and, optionally, a project. Line items can be pulled from milestones so what you bill matches what you delivered.
Create an invoice
Start from the project to inherit the client, currency, and terms. Add line items manually or import completed milestones.
- Import milestones to keep billing tied to delivery
- Add a discount line as a negative amount
- Attach a PDF purchase order or timesheet to the invoice
Tax, currency, and terms
Tax rates are set per line item so mixed-rate invoices work. Terms come from the client record and drive the due date and reminder schedule.
Connect payment methods
Connect a provider in Settings → Payments. Clients then pay from the invoice page without leaving your branded portal.
Instant confirmation. Best for deposits and smaller amounts.
Lower fees on large invoices; confirmation takes one to three days.
Ideal for recurring retainers once a mandate is in place.
Record a transfer you received outside LynxRise and mark the invoice paid.
Send, then let reminders work
Sending an invoice emails the billing contact and publishes it to the portal. Reminders fire on your schedule and stop the moment payment lands.
- Reminders use your branding and reply-to address
- Recurring invoices generate and send on a set day each month
- Pause reminders on a single invoice while a query is open
Track status and reconcile
Every invoice moves through a small set of states. The portal shows clients only what's relevant to them: what's outstanding and what's settled.
- Export invoices as CSV or PDF for your accountant
- Partial payments are recorded and reduce the balance due
- Refunds and credit notes stay linked to the original invoice
