A LynxRise portal is a private, branded space you hand to one client. Set it up once and every project, file, and invoice you attach to that client shows up automatically.
Set up the workspace
Your workspace holds every client portal you run. Name it after your agency — the name appears in emails, invoices, and the portal login screen.
- Use your public agency name, not an internal codename
- Set the time zone before creating invoices or due dates
- Currency can be overridden per client later
Create the portal
Open Portals → New portal, pick the client it belongs to, and give it a title the client will recognise. LynxRise generates a portal address you can share right away.
Add portal pages
Pages are the tabs your client sees. Start with the four that answer most questions, then add extras only when the client actually needs them.
- Reorder pages by dragging — the first page is the portal landing page
- Empty pages are hidden from clients until they have content
- Each page can be switched to internal-only while you prepare it
Decide what the client sees
Visibility is per item, not just per page. Internal tasks, draft files, and unsent invoices stay hidden until you mark them client-visible.
Preview, then publish
Use View as client to see the exact portal your client will open — nothing internal, nothing half-built. Publish when it reads cleanly, then send the invite.
- Preview on mobile too: most clients open portals on a phone first
- Publishing makes the address live but access still requires an invite
- Unpublish at any time without deleting content
