Invite clients

Give each client a login that works on the first try — no passwords to reset, no shared inboxes, no wondering who has access to what.

Every portal user is a named contact with their own access. That keeps handovers clean when your client's team changes and gives you a real record of who saw which update.

01

Send an invite

Open the portal, go to People → Invite, and add the contact's name, email, and role. LynxRise emails a secure sign-in link branded with your agency.

  • Invite people individually — avoid shared addresses like info@
  • Add several contacts in one go with comma-separated emails
  • Invites expire after 14 days and can be resent instantly

What the client sees

The invite email carries your logo, your sender name, and one button. Clicking it signs them in and drops them on the portal landing page.

Per-contact permissions

Not every client contact needs the invoices tab. Set what each person can reach, and change it later without re-inviting them.

Client admin

Full portal access: projects, files, invoices, and the ability to invite their own colleagues.

Collaborator

Projects, tasks, files, and feedback. No billing access.

Billing contact

Invoices and payment history only — ideal for finance teams.

Viewer

Read-only access to whatever pages you make client-visible.

  • Permissions apply per portal, so one person can differ across clients
  • Downgrading access takes effect on their next page load
  • Billing contacts still receive invoice emails
04

Resend, revoke, replace

People leave, emails bounce, projects end. Manage all of it from the portal's People list without touching the rest of the portal.

Revoking is immediateA revoked contact loses access on the spot, including any open session. Their past comments and approvals stay on the record.

Track who actually looked

Each contact has a last-seen timestamp and a view count on key items. Use it before you chase a client for a decision they never received.

  • Spot pending invites that never got accepted
