Files in LynxRise attach to a project, a task, or a portal page. Wherever they sit, they carry their version history, approval state, and comment thread with them.
Upload and organise
Drag files into a project's Files tab or into a portal folder. Folders keep long engagements navigable — clients rarely scroll past the first screen.
- Drag-and-drop supports whole folders
- Rename files after upload without breaking existing links
- Number folders so they sort in delivery order
Versions, not copies
Upload a revision on top of the existing file instead of creating a new one. The client's link stays the same and older versions remain available underneath.
Approvals
Request approval on a file and the client gets a clear decision to make. Approvals are recorded with the person, timestamp, and version.
- Approval is version-specific — a new upload resets it
- Requesting changes opens a feedback thread on the file
- Approved files can be locked against further edits
Formats, previews, and limits
Common design, document, image, and video formats preview in the browser, so clients rarely need to download anything to give feedback.
PDF, PNG, JPG, WEBP, SVG, MP4, MOV, plus common office documents.
ZIP archives, source design files, fonts, and anything unrecognised.
Up to 5 GB per file depending on plan; large uploads resume if the connection drops.
Pooled across the workspace and shown in Settings → Usage.
